Realistic self-defense training for women in Berlin
From 30 November, our women’s self-defense course will take place every Friday at our new Cityskills location in Schöneberg, Kurfürstenstraße 3a. It is open to all women and primarily serves to increase self-confidence and self-assurance. We train prevention measures, real attack and threat scenarios and physical fitness. It is important to us that we deal with possible attacks not only physically, but also mentally. 70 per cent of our work is mental. At the same time, Cityskills has only one goal: to make women, regardless of their age, more self-confident and stronger.

Why Krav Maga self-defense for women?
Women are confronted with a different form of violence than men, namely sexually motivated violence. According to new BKA statistics, every five minutes a woman in Germany is sexually harassed, molested, coerced or abused. Often it is not the stranger who meets you on the way home, but the violence happens among friends, at work or within your own four walls.
From risk assessment to avoidance strategy to actual action – women and men approach each of these points quite differently. Krav Maga would be untrustworthy if it did not take these differences into account. Krav Maga Self-defense for Women – The Stay Away Program of the IKMF.
The Stay Away Program of the IKMF is the most effective self-defense for women. It was developed by Shlomi Moyal, Expert 4 of the IKMF Global Instructor Team. Years of work have gone into the constant development of the program. It takes into account the physical differences between women and perpetrators and also deals with the psychological aspects. Because women really do tick differently, and Krav Maga would be untrustworthy if it did not take such differences in self-defense into account.
Sylvain has passed the Stay Away Instructor and as such is qualified to teach women according to the program’s guidelines.
